Brittney has been the Hospital Manager at Oaks since 2015. She has a background as a veterinary technician and has her certificate in Veterinary Practice Management from St. Petersburg College. Her ultimate goal is to obtain her bachelors as a veterinary technician with a focus on practice management.
Though originally from Micanopy, Brittney moved to the Tampa Bay area where she worked as a veterinary technician and office manager before deciding to move back home. Her favorite breed of dog is German Shepherds, which she has a few of as well as one shi-poo named Bobo (pictured) who can often be seen greeting clients and pets at the reception desk. In her free time she loves to read, train and show her shepherds as well as anything involving the great outdoors.
Savannah join the Oaks Veterinary Hospital team in May 2016. She is a junior at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA and is studying farm management. While she does not currently live in Gainesville, she works at Oaks seasonally when she is home from college. Her background in several animal care fields such as participating in 4H Steer Showing and working on a local cattle farm make her a great asset to our team.
In her spare time she enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends. Savannah has a beta fish named Lucky. Once she moves out of her dorms she plans to get a Australian Cattle Dog or Labrador puppy.
Brynna is originally from upstate New York but moved down to Gainesville to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is currently at the university of Florida studying animal sciences. She especially enjoys working with dogs.
In her free time, she loves to cook, read, and spend lots of quality time with her dog, Yoshi (pictured).
Kelsea is a undergraduate at the University of Florida majoring in Animal Biology with a minor in nutritional sciences.
In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball for the club team at UF and going to the beach. She also enjoys playing with her cat, Oliver, who was an adoptee from Oaks.
Alexys currently attends the University of Florida, majoring in animal biology and minoring in business. She plans to pursue a doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida, specializing in small animal medicine. Her ultimate goal is to start a boarding facility which will provide temporary housing for pets looking for new homes.
Alexys loves to go running and hiking with her two dogs, Carlos and Dobby (pictured) as well as cuddling at home with her three cats, Neville, Bellatrix and Gimli.
Nick is a long-time animal lover coming to us with previous experience in the animal and business fields. Nick has great attention to detail and is very involved in patient care. He loves working very closely with clients to help educate them on their pet care needs.
Nick has an adorable American Staffordshire Terrier named Dario (pictured) and a cute little American Bully named Nina. He holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Finance and is now working towards applying to the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
Catie comes to us with years of experience in animal rescue, veterinary medicine and grooming. She loves animals and is amazingly patient with them. We are so excited to have her join our team since we know she shares the same love of animals as we all do!
Catie shares her home with her husband Greg, her Chow Chow "Budo", Akita "Momo" (pictured), and 2 cats named Harry & Grease, 6 tarantulas, 2 snakes, and scorpion. Catie enjoys spending her free time cooking, gardening, and watching Korean dramas.
Justin join the Oaks Veterinary Hospital team in February 2016. He is a senior at UF’s P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School and plans to attend school to be come a veterinarian. He has a background in several animal care fields such as participating in 4H Steer Showing and working on a local cattle farm.
In his spare time he enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends. Justin has a German Shepherd (pictured) named Charlie, who he enjoys training.
