Hospital Manager

Brittney has been the Hospital Manager at Oaks since 2015. She has a background as a veterinary technician and has her certificate in Veterinary Practice Management from St. Petersburg College. Her ultimate goal is to obtain her bachelors as a veterinary technician with a focus on practice management.

Though originally from Micanopy, Brittney moved to the Tampa Bay area where she worked as a veterinary technician and office manager before deciding to move back home. Her favorite breed of dog is German Shepherds, which she has a few of as well as one shi-poo named Bobo (pictured) who can often be seen greeting clients and pets at the reception desk. In her free time she loves to read, train and show her shepherds as well as anything involving the great outdoors.


Client Care Specialist

Namoi moved to Gainesville from Massachusetts to pursue her PhD at the University of Florida. She has a receptionist background in several animal health care settings, and is excited to incorporate her past experiences with her love of animals in her work with Oaks Veterinary Hospital!

Naomi shares her home with her dog, Clyde and her cat, Diamond.


Client Care Specialist

Justin join the Oaks Veterinary Hospital team in February 2016. He is a senior at UF’s P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School and plans to attend school to be come a veterinarian. He has a background in several animal care fields such as participating in 4H Steer Showing and working on a local cattle farm.

In his spare time he enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends. Justin has a German Shepherd (pictured) named Charlie, who he enjoys training.


Client Care Specialist



Alexys currently attends the University of Florida, majoring in animal biology and minoring in business. She plans to pursue a doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida, specializing in small animal medicine. Her ultimate goal is to start a boarding facility which will provide temporary housing for pets looking for new homes.

Alexys loves to go running and hiking with her two dogs, Carlos and Dobby (pictured) as well as cuddling at home with her three cats, Neville, Bellatrix and Gimli.



Maya is currently in her 4th year at the University of Florida, majoring in Animal Science. She is also studying for a minor in both Zoology and Anthropology. Maya has been accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida which she will attend in August. She plans to focus on large animal and hopes to work with dairy cattle in the future.

In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog Lily (pictured) for long walks and spending time outside.



Brynna is originally from upstate New York but moved down to Gainesville to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is currently at the university of Florida studying animal sciences. She especially enjoys working with dogs.

In her free time, she loves to cook, read, and spend lots of quality time with her dog, Yoshi (pictured).



Kelsea is a undergraduate at the University of Florida majoring in Animal Biology with a minor in nutritional sciences.

In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball for the club team at UF and going to the beach. She also enjoys playing with her cat, Oliver, who was an adoptee from Oaks.



Brett started with Oaks Veterinary Hospital in 2009 as a veterinary technician while taking the courses needed to get into vet school. He has since attended the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May 2016 with his degree in Veterinary Medicine. While waiting to sit for his licensing exam, Brett has returned to hone his valuable skills and knowledge under the direction of Dr. Dean & Dr. Wallace.

In between working and studying for his boards, Brett enjoys any and all outdoor activities that Florida has to offer. He can often be found at the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving. Brett also loves cooking and often brings in amazing food for the other staff to enjoy.



Norma join the Oaks Veterinary Hospital in 2016. She came to us with 26+ years of veterinary experience. Norma’s experience with veterinary management and technician skills help to keep our hospital organized and flowing each and every day. We are so thankful for all the great ideas and positivity Norma brings to our team.

Norma is blessed with her amazing husband, her beautiful children and incredible pets including Fred (pictured), Aggie, Masie, her bearded dragon Victor, three chickens, two parakeets, and a beta fish named "Dude". Norma is married to her husband, Matt and has four children and a beautiful granddaughter named Elizabeth. In her spare time she enjoys war reenacting, camping & canoeing, family games nights and entertaining.



Nick is a long-time animal lover coming to us with previous experience in the animal and business fields. Nick has great attention to detail and is very involved in patient care. He loves working very closely with clients to help educate them on their pet care needs.

Nick has an adorable American Staffordshire Terrier named Dario (pictured) and a cute little American Bully named Nina. He holds a Bachelor‘s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Finance and is now working towards applying to the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine.



Catie comes to us with years of experience in animal rescue, veterinary medicine and grooming. She loves animals and is amazingly patient with them. We are so excited to have her join our team since we know she shares the same love of animals as we all do!

Catie shares her home with her husband Greg, her Chow Chow "Budo", Akita "Momo" (pictured), and 2 cats named Harry & Grease, 6 tarantulas, 2 snakes, and scorpion. Catie enjoys spending her free time cooking, gardening, and watching Korean dramas.



Ed is currently attending the University of Florida majoring in Animal Science. His home is shared with Jaxon, a Siberian Husky, a Pit Bull named Bones, and two Siamese cats. He hopes to continue his studies and become a small animal veterinarian.
